Srinagar, Feb 3: Thanking Pakistan for supporting Kashmir Freedom Struggle, senior separatist leader and president Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi Friday said that observing February 5 as ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ Pakistan has been proving that it is the advocate, sympathizer and well wisher of the people of Kashmir. He said that Pakistan has left no stone unturned in raising Kashmir issue on all international forums. “Pakistan’s efforts with regard to Kashmir are commendable and this country has been utilizing all its resources to highlight the sufferings and pain of people of Kashmir,” he said.
Addressing devotees at Imambara Budgam, Aga Hasan criticized a local Indian court for awarding death sentence to a Kashmir youth Muzaffar Ahmed Rather. He said that the decision tentmounts to murder of justice. “Muzafar was arrested when he was 14 and after keeping him prison for decades, death sentence was awarded to him. This decision is politically motivated as some Indian states are going for elections in coming days,” he said and prayed for the well-being of pro-freedom leader Syed Ali Geelani. He said Geelani is an asset to this nation.(CNS)
