Vigilance produces challan against police and revenue officials

Jammu,February 6,2017 CNS: Vigilance Organization Jammu (VOJ) Monday produced Challans in the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption court Jammu against a police officer and some officials from Revenue.

    The organization had registered a case against them after conducting a verification into the allegations pertaining to fraudulent manipulation and tempering and destruction of revenue record of Khasra number12 of village Hakkal Tehsil and District Jammu by the then Riaz Ahmed Patwari Halqa Hakkal during the year 2007 in connivance with the beneficiaries namely Ravinder Singh, Romesh Chander and Rajesh Gopal sons of Late Shiv Dhan Singh of village Hakkal Tehsil and District Jammu prepared fraudulent fard Intikhab which were illegally attested by Naryan Singh the then Tehsildar Settlement Jammu with regard to land measuring 22 kanal 19 marlas under Khasra No. 12 situated at village Hakkal, showing the possession and ownership of said land in the name of above said beneficiaries in order to facilitate the sale of said land to different persons.

    On the basis of said fraudulent fard intikhabs the sale deed were executed by the above mentioned beneficiaries in favour different vendees by concealing the facts from the court. The said sale deeds were thereafter mutated illegally.

          The other case had been registered against Sub Inspector Amar Chand the then posted at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu on the complaint of driver namely Nek Ram son Pinju Ram of Jindrah, Jammu for demand and acceptance of bribe amount of Rs. 10,000/- from the complainant for handing over the documents of Maruti Van retained by the above Police officer which was seized in another case. During investigation the Vigilance Organsaition conducted a raid and accused was caught red handed while accepting bribe money which was recovered on spot in presence of independent witnesses. (CNS)
