Srinagar, February 22,2017 CNS: Doctors at Bones and Joints Hospital Barzulla amputated both the arms of a Power Development Department (PDD) employee who was electrocuted few days back in North Kashmir’s Sopore town.
Family members of the victim alleged that he became prey due to the negligence of the department.
Line Man, Muhammad Ramzan Tantray son of Muhammad Subhan a resident of Heewan Baramulla was electrocuted when one of his officers directed him to snap the electric line of a residential house at Pothkha Sopore. “As my brother was doing the job, the department restored electric supply as a result he suffered severe electric shocks. He was shifted to Bones and Joints Hospital Barzulla where doctors amputated both his arms on Wednesday,” he said.
Father of four children the victims employee of PDD was the ony earning hand of the family.
Medical Superintendent B&J Hospital Dr Ajaz said that amputation of arms was unavoidable for the survival of the victim. (CNS)
