Srinagar,February 22,2017 CNS: Jammu Kashmir Police Wednesday clarified that Kulgam youth didn’t die of pellet injuries. In a handout to CNS, it said: “On Monday (Feb 20) Waseem Ahmed Thoker son of  Mushtaq Ahmed a resident of Souch was found unconscious at Baitul Hilal Yateem foundation Chawalgam and was brought to District hospital Kulgam by his friends where doctors declared him brought dead.”

“Kulgam police taking cognizance of the incident  has primarily  found   that there was no medical history as has been published in the new report.”

“The deceased was doing routine work at Baitul Hilal foundation as ambulance driver and has died in his room .

The news reports published by some local dailies is baseless, concocted and far from the truth and are therefore rebutted.

Kulgam police is ascertaining facts about cause of the death of Waseem and people are advised not to  fall prey to the vested interests.” (CNS)
