Srinagar,February 24,2017 CNS:  APHC chairman, Syed Ali Geelani who continues to be under house detention, was not again allowed to offer Friday prayers by police.

Condemning the autocratic and egoistic behaviour of rulers and its authorities, a spokesman of the Huriyat, in a statement today, said the amalgam chairman is not being allowed to offer Friday prayers for the last so many years.

   Today a huge contingent of police and forces personnel was deployed outside his residence and on airport road.

Huriyat spokesman, Ayaz Akbar condemned state administration for their vengeful policy against Syed Ali Geelani & said they are scared of him. Terming the approach of state administration as  brutal and callous , spokesman said they failed to produce any court order nor they could justify this illegal detention.

Huriyat conference in its statement said that withdrawing the strike call on Friday convey a message for those elements who are hell-bent to malign the movement for political gains. It has made clear that freedom movement is not communal in nature and we have nothing to do with sectarian or communal politics. We are striving for right to self-determination for all sections including Hindu’s, Sikhs, Christians and other communities.

We have no animosity with followers of any religion and faith but believe in complete harmony and are committed to safeguard their honour and properties.

Some black sheep under the influence of BJP dogma don’t represent the aspirations of these minority communities, said spokesman. They are  few and for the sake of favours and poltical gains are playing the deceit. (CNS)
