Abu Dujana reportedly killed in South Kashmir encounter

Pulwama, Aug 1, CNS: Top Lashkar-e-Toiba's (LeT) Kashmir head Abu Dujana along with associate has reportedly been killed in South Kashmir where a gun fight raged between Government Forces and militants in the middle of the night that culminated on Tuesday morning.
    
Though police have not identified the slain militants, but reports said that the two militants killed in the encounter are Abu Dujana and Ashraf Lelhari.
     
Sources said that a cordon and search operation was launched in Hakripora, Kakapora hamlet of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on 4 am while militants present inside the house fired upon the search party, triggering an encounter.
   
Reports said that hundreds of people took to roads while encounter was going on to ensure the safety of the militants, however, government forces used live ammunition to disperse them. A civilian Jahangir Ahmed received a bullet in his abdomen and has been shifted to Srinagar hospital.
    
Reports said that the situation in the area in tense, while authorities have snapped the internet service to maintain law and order problem.
   
 Director General of Police Dr SP Vaid said that two bodies have been retrieved from the encounter site and their identities are being ascertained.
