Bandipora, Oct 6, CNS: The Army in collaboration with PHC, Ajas and Kashmiri American Society for Healthcare / Medical Education Research organised a medical camp. The Kashmiri American Society under the stewardship of Dr Maqbool Alam Bhat and a team of 14 medical specialists visited the PHC, Ajas to cater to the medical needs of the local residents where 250 people were thoroughly examined. The NGO has catered for affordable medical facilities for the people of Ajas who would otherwise have to travel extremely long distances to cater to their medical needs.
According to an Army press release, in Bijibiara, a team of doctors from the Army and Civil administration conducted a Medical Camp at Gantalipora village, Kanyalwan. A total of 567 people were treated at the Medical Camp and were provided with free medicines and special aids to the handicap persons of the area. At this occassion, Sarpach of Village thanked the Army for this helpful gesture and hoped that Army will continue with such endeavours so as to help the poor and needy people of the rural areas. (CNS)
