Srinagar, Oct 26, CNS: News agency CNS Wednesday clarified that the malicious news report about Hizbul Mujhadeen Chief Syed Salahuddin posted on its website was the handiwork of some unscrupulous elements who not only are devoid of any ethics but also played with the reputation of the news agency.
CNS in its statement said: “On Wednesday hackers after hacking its website posted a news report with the sole intention to malign the image of Hizbul Mujhadeen Chief Syed Salahuddin. We tender our unconditional apology to all those who were hurt and want to clarify that the news report was not the brainchild of our agency.”
Meanwhile, Hizb spokesperson Salim Hashmi in a tele-statement condemned the action and said that those hackers who post malicious news reports to defame Hizb Chief and Kashmir Freedom Struggle will be identified and taken to task. (CNS)
