Srinagar, Oct 31, CNS: Army on Tuesday said that during early morning hours, an incident of fire was reported at two shops in Udipura Village in Langate. Immediately the Army swung into action and sent additional troops for extinguishing the fire and saving the lives and properties of the locals. The fire tender also reached there shortly and assisted in extinguishing the fire.

In another incident, a high speeding minibus carrying around 25 locals, going to Tarzoo from Sopore turned turtle near Ningli. The Army personnel from the nearby Army Camp responded quickly to the calls of the victims and assisted trapped persons to come out of the damaged vehicle. The Army further provided immediate medical assistance to the injured and evacuated them to nearby hospital. (CNS)
