Srinagar: Though schools and colleges have been shut in major parts of Kashmir Valley, yet students at a couple of places staged protest this morning against Kathua rape and murder case.
Reports said that Government Forces resorted to aerial firing to disperse agitaing students who clashed with them in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A large number of students pelted stones on deployed forces near Jamia Market Shopian. The students raised pro freedom slogans and demanded rapists should be hanged.
Eyewitnesses said that students didn’t disperse even though Government Forces lobbed tear smoke shells. The Forces fired couple of rounds in air.
Protesting students also blocked road near Delina Baramulla as a result commuters faces lot of inconvenience.
