Kashmir University suspends classwork for Monday, Tuesday

Srinagar, May 6-CNS: Authorities of University of Kashmir Sunday afternoon said that they have decided to suspend the classwork. In a statement to CNS they said, “Class-work at the University of Kashmir shall remain suspended on May 7/8, 2018 (Monday and Tuesday) as a precautionary measure.”

The announcement comes after the killing of a University Professor and Scholar in an encounter with government forces at Shopian of South Kashmir. Dr. Rafiq Ahmad was an Assistant Professor at the varsity and has joined militant ranks a couple of days back. (CNS)
