LeT module active in Hajin will be neutralized: SSP

Hajin, May 25, CNS: A throat slit body of a man has been found at Gund Prang Hajin area of North Kashmir’s  Bandipora district.
Police identified him as Muhammad Yaqoob Wagay.
A police official said that slain was a butcher by profession who was abducted from his home by unknown gun men. His throat slit body was recovered by locals during pre-dawn hours who informed police.
He added that investigation has been started to ascertain the facts.
Hundreds of people participated in the last rites of the slain man.
This month, Hajin area has witnessed a couple of killings. The alleged Informers were first abducted and then put to death. Police blames militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba for these killings.
Meanwhile, SSP Bandipora Sheikh Zulifkar told CNS that the slain man was innocent and was not involved in any activity. He said that the only motive behind this killing is to create fear psychosis and threat among civilian population.
“There are 8 to 10 militants operating from Hajin area. They are being commanded and controlled by a local militant Saleem Parrey,” he said and added that this LeT module will be neutralized shortly. (CNS)
