Militant attack leaves 2 troopers wounded

Anantnag, July 21, CNS: Suspected militants opened fire on a Road Opening Party on Khanabal-Pahalgam road at Bumzoo in Mattan area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Reports said that at least two Para-military troopers were wounded in the attack.

The attacked created panic in the area that was cordoned off and a search operation was launched to track down the armed militants.

The injured according to an official were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Pertinently, two CRPF personnel including an officer were killed few days back when vehicle borne militants fired upon a patrolling party at Achabal area of the district.
