Five troopers injured in Goriwan grenade blast

Anantnag, July 26, CNS: Militants lobbed a grenade on a patrolling party near Goriwan area of South Kashmir’s Bijbehara resulting in the injuries of at least five troopers.

Sources said that militants hurled a grenade that exploded with a bang leaving at least five Central Reserve Police Forces personnel. Witnesses added that shortly after the blast they heard gun shots as well that created panic in the area.

A police official said that four troopers were injured in the blast and all are stable. Forces cordoned off the area and search operation was launched to nab the militants.
