Shopian,Aug 10 CNS :A couple of persons sustained injuries during clashes that erupted between government forces and protesters in Tukroo Keegam village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Reports said Indian Army soldiers from 44 Rashtriya Rifles assisted by troopers and SOG cordoned off Tukro village after receiving inputs about the presence of militants.
Reports added that as soon as operation started, a large number of youth hit to roads and pelted stones of Force personnel. Witnesses added that Force resorted to firing and fired pellets that resulted in the injuries of at least three persons. Witnesses said that a youth has suffered bullet injury, however, a police official said that no one was wounded during the clashes.
