Adigam village of Kokarnag faces water shortage problem from 2 months, Locals stage protest

Kokarnag, Sep 7, CNS: People staged a noisy protest demonstration in Adigam village of Kokarnag area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Friday.

People assembled outside SDM office Kokarnag and raised slogans against district administration and PHE Department.

The protesters said the severe water shortage has gripped the village from last two months. The protesters also blocked Margan Top-Kishtwar raod and disrupted traffic for hours.

Later a team of concerned officials and police reached on the spot pacified the protesters assuring them that the matter will be resolved within two days. (CNS)
