Srinagar, Sep 10, CNS: Disgruntled Peoples Democratic Party legislator from Baramulla Javaid Hussain Beigh attended a party meeting here on Monday, thus clearing the speculations that he will not anymore support the rebellious group led by Imran Raza Ansari.
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti chaired a meeting of senior party functionaries and legislators at her Gupkar based official residence here in Srinagar city.
The meeting was called to decide about participation of PDP in the local body elections. Baring 3 MLAs and 2 MLCs all legislators including Javaid Hussain Beigh were present in the meeting.
Those who didn’t participate in the meeting included Imran Raza Ansari, Abid Ansari, Abdul Majeed Paddar, Yasir Reshi and Saifudin Bhat.
Beigh supported some rebellious party leaders after the fall of Mehbooba Mufti led Jammu and Kashmir Government. He has even said he was never part of the PDP.
While talking to news agency CNS, Beigh said that he has sorted out all the difference with Party president Mehbooba Mufti. “A week back I met Mehbooba Mufti. We sorted out all the difference and now I have no complaints against her,” Beigh said and claimed that all the disgruntled leaders of PDP will hold a meeting with Mehbooba Mufti in coming days. (CNS)
