Chicago, Sep 13, CNS: Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo President Panun Kashmir who is on an organisational tour of US visited the famous Art Palace Complex in Chicago. This complex houses the Auditorium and Podium from where Swami Vivekananda delivered the historic speech of “Sisters & Brothers of America”.
The Governor of Illinois State declared in an proclamation the 11th September 2018 as the “Swami Vivekananda Day” for the State of Illinois. Visiting the venue on the same day exactly 125 years after the speech of 1893 and paying tributes to the great soul of India by the representatives of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community is in itself a wonderful event. It has potential to connect the new generations with the glorious past and present before them an inspiration to lead a life with a purpose. A lot of people visited the important venue here in Chicago on the same day to remember and pay their great reverence to the Hindu Monk of India Swami Vivekananda who mesmerised the representatives of the World with his words of wisdom.
The visit to the historic palace followed the participation in the prestigious World Hindu Congress 2018 at Chicago. The Four day Conference was attended by 2,500 delegates from more than 60 countries.
There was an overwhelming response to the issues pertaining to Kashmir and Kashmiri Pandits in the whole Congress. Almost all the sessions of the Conference expressed concern regarding the situation of Jammu and Kashmiri and in particular about the Kashmiri Pandits.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo focused on the issues pertaining to the Hindu minority community of Jammu and Kashmir state which has been experiencing double standards and are the victims of demographic invasion in Jammu province.
The Kathua episode is a big example of a conspiracy and campaign against the Hindu minority of J&K.
An earnest concern was expressed by the delegates for the settlement of Kashmiri Pandits in their homeland in Kashmir. A large volume of supportive voices declared their support to the cause of Kashmir and Kashmiri Pandits.
In a number of interviews and shows, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo made an elaborate description of the plight, present condition and future planning so far as the displacement and resettlement of the Kashmiri Pandit community was concerned.
A delegation of prominent Hindu representatives shall be visiting the J&K state in near future to extend their support to the minority community of J&K and also provide its help to mitigate their sufferings.
The President of Panun Kashmir Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo who is accompanied by Vimla Chrungoo, Secretary of Daughters of Panun Kashmir will be visiting some states here and meeting prominent people of the Hindu community and particularly the Kashmiri Pandit community diaspora representatives.
