KULGAM: Police said the three militants killed so far in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district were affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujhadeen.
Pertinently, a gunfight is in progress at Chowgam, Kulgam amid clashes. Police said five militants are trapped out of which three have been neutralized while two are still fighting.
A police spokesperson said that In it is a huge success for them and security forces. Spokesperson said it was a combo of HM and LeT militants.
“Most of them were involved in a series of terror acts including killing of 2 bank employees and many policemen.Also involved in bank robberies and weapon looting,” claimed police.
Unconfirmed reports said that Gulzar Paddar, a top militant commander is one among the slain militants.
The police official said that inputs were coming from past couple of days that a group of militants are wandering from place to place. “This time they got trapped and neutralized in a clean operation,” he maintained.
