 DC inspects development projects in Kulgam

Kulgam, Mar 28, CNS: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Sajad Hussain Ganie today visited various areas of the district to inspect the progress of ongoing developmental projects.

DDC visited project sites of new IPD block of District Hospital, MCH Hospital, Brazloo Bridge, Kilam-Gund Bridge, LIS Peth Devsar & Qusba Devsar that is presently under construction.

At district hospital, the DDC was apprised by the engineers of JKPCC that almost 90 percent of work of IPD has been completed and remaining is apace  which shall be completed within two months.

DDC stressed upon the concerned agency to expedite the pace of construction so that the IPD block will be functional in coming two months.

Expressing his satisfaction over the pace of construction of Kellam-Gund Bridge, DDC instructed the engineers of the executing agency to complete the construction of the bridge within the stipulated time. He also asked the concerned engineers to personally monitor the project and ensure use of quality material in the construction.

The DDC also interacted with the locals, who requested for early completion of the project. It is worth to mention that the bridge is coming up at an estimated cost of 15 crore and will be an alternate connecting link with district Kulgam.
