Pattan 16 October 2018 CNS:- Chinar Skill Training Centre (CSTC), Haiderbeg under the aegis of Kilo Force added yet another feather to its cap. In addition to the skill development courses in IT & Food Processing through National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana (PMKVY),Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) where in 50 local boys and girls have directly benefitted from it and are employed full time across valley and more will gain employment in due course, it commenced a *certification course on “Screen Acting”* with effect from 26 September 2018 to 17 October 2018 in collaboration with *FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA, PUNE* under their SKIFT (Skilling India in Film & Television) scheme. The course on “Screen Acting” was inaugurated by commander, Haiderbeg sector on behalf of KILO FORCE on 26 September 2018 in the presence of eminent faculty of FTII in Screen Acting, Mr. Phunsuk Ladhaki who in the last twenty four days imparted the nuisances of acting to the selected boys and girls of Kashmir at Zorawar Auditorium, Haiderbeg.
All of the above is part of Army’s sustained initiative to secure a better future for Kashmiri youth through vocational and employable skill training to unemployed / unskilled youth of the valley.
The Chief Guest, Lt Gen AK Bhatt, AVSM, SM, VSM,* speaking on the occasion highlighted that Army is emphasising efforts which not only provides just skill development training but also ultimately results in carrying employment opportunities to the youth of Kashmir. He addressed the youth for their encouraging response and congratulated them. Such efforts are a result of continuous interaction of Army with the Awaam. He also expressed his gratitude to National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) for providing this oppurtunity to the youth of the nation in skilling them.
The students hailed the sustained efforts of the Army, which results in not only facilitating the talented youth in skilling them but also enable them with better employment opportunities. This is an effective tool to transform the Kashmiri society and enthuse a new ray of hope for the boys and girls of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Corps Cdr Chinar Corps re-iterated relentless support of Army in creating such opportunities for the larger betterment of the society. In the end he congratulated Chinar Skill Training Centre (CSTC), Haiderbeg, Mirgund Centre of Excellence and their entire team for doing extremely praiseworthy work in providing employment to the local youth. He also expressed his gratitude to FTII for their support towards the youth of J&K and Mr. Phunsukh Ladhaki for his dedication and zeal in the last twenty four days towards the youth.(CNS)
