Srinagar, Oct 23, CNS: An important meeting of J&K Employees Joint Consultative Committee was held here in the Central Office under the Chairmanship of Ajaz Ahmed Khan in which all the issues pertaining to state government employees were discussed and it was found that some officers in the departments have taken the employees of their respective departments far granted.
“The employees are the main stake holders and main assets. The heads of the departments come and go but the employees stay there and know the basic structure of the department. It is the obligation of Employees Unions to raise the voice in favour of employees of all government departments,” Khan said in the meeting.
He added that the employees at Department of Libraries are being harassed as government functionaries are dancing on the tunes of some blue-eyed officers. “They should stop harassing employees in Department of Libraries and government should take note of it without any delay. The purchasing must be done as per norms prescribed by government. We appeal government to put an end to agent culture. Some officials have deputed their own agents in the department and it gives rise to corruption and malpractices,” the employees said in the meeting and appealed government to take stake-holders into confidence before taking any important decision.
