Srinagar, Nov 29, CNS: CIC Operators Thursday appealed Governor Administration to regularize them as Data Entry Operators without any delay.
“We the CIC Operators working in Rural Development Department have not been regularized though we deserve the same. CIC Centres along with staff and assets were transferred to State Government and the salary of the staff was enhanced in the year 2010. As per the cabinet decision the department had to regularize the services of CIC Operators who are mainly Post Graduates/Degree holders and some are Diploma Holders in Engineering or Computer Sciences. Accordingly, Department approached the Finance Department for their agreement to the creation of posts for regularization of equivalent number of CIC operators.”
They said that the Empowered Committee discussed the issue of regularization of CIC Operators. The Committee noted that these Operators have been engaged as CIC Operators on contractual basis.
Accordingly, the Finance Department agreed to the creation of 172 posts of Data Entry Operators in the pay band of Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 1900 by corresponding reduction of 172 positions of CIC Operators presently paid salary /honorarium of Rs. 8000/- for Diploma Holders and Rs. 10,000/- for Degree holders.
They said that the cases of CIC operators numbering 166 were examined in the Department and submitted to the Finance Department for placing before the Empowered Committee for their clearance to the regularization of these CIC Operators against the posts of Data Entry Operators already created for the purpose.
They said that 163 CIC Operators cleared by the Empowered Committee needs to be regularized against the post of Data Entry Operators in the pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 + GP. 1900/.
