Human Rights Week: Transporters  stage protest against civilian killings

Srinagar, Dec 8, CNS: Transporters from Kashmir Valley Saturday staged a peaceful protest against killing spree in Valley.
Scores of transporters on the call of Joint Resistance Leadership assembled here in Pratap Park under the banner of Kashmir Transporters Welfare Federation. The protesters were carrying placards and banners seeking end to killings in Kashmir. Raising anti-government slogans and held banners which read “Stop Killing Kashmiris”, “Stop genocide of Kashmiris” and “Kashmiryun ka qatal aam band Karo band Karo”.
They appealed to the world community to raise their voice against the ongoing killings, random arrests, vandalization and shifting of local prisoners outside states.
“The drivers from various sections of society including Auto Drivers, Sumo drivers, Minibus Service drivers, and KMD Drivers participated in the protest.
