Youth accuses consultancy company of fraud, Narrates ordeal in Press Enclave

Srinagar, Dec 11, CNS: A youth from Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district Tuesday accused the proprietor of a consultancy company of cheat claiming that in the name of providing a job to him in Saudi Arabia, he was looted over Rs 1.50 Lakh hard earned money.

Hailing from Rathsuna Tral, Umar Rafiq emerged in Press Enclave Srinagar and told Reporters that in September 2017, he approached a consultancy Company ‘Adeeb International’  (Saida Kadal) and ‘Unique’ (Karan Nagar) for a placement in Saudi Arabia. “Both the companies are run by same individual. I applied for the job of Coffee Maker in Saudi Arabia and for this purpose provided Rs 1.50 Lakh to the owner of the consultancy company,” he said.

Umar Rafiq said that he was shocked to learn that there was no job for him as promised by the Consultancy Company when he arrived in Saudi Arabia. “The owner of the Consultancy Company had promised to me that I will get the job of ‘Coffee Maker’ but there was none. In an unknown land, I suffered a lot. Somehow for some time and for my survival I got a job in a biscuit company on meagre salary,” he said.

“The irony is that instead of returning my money back, the owner of the consultancy company assaulted me at his office. He not only deceived me but also assaulted me when I demanded my money back. I urge upon police and Crime Branch to take note of this matter. There are other victims as well who have been suffering in Saudi Arabia due to this consultancy company,” Umar Rafiq told CNS.

The proprietor of the company Manzoor Ahmed while refuting the allegations told CNS that the said guy worked at other place on his own. “He worked in Saudi Arabia for a number of months and didn’t follow my instructions,” he said adding that it was ‘Unique’ and not ‘Adeeb International’ which he consulted.
