Srinagar;Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday asked people not to pay heed to rumours on the identification of militants killed in a gunfight with the forces in Dragad village of Shopian.
“Only one body identified, rest six bodies are being identified. Kindly do not pay heed to speculation,” said a police spokesman, in a statement
Earlier, unconfirmed reports had said that Zeenat ul Islam, Saddam Padder and Naveed Jhatt were among those killed. There was no official confirmation, though.
DGP SP Vaid said that seven bodies were recovered from the site of gunfight in Dragad village. He said top commanders were among those killed.
