Srinagar, Feb 13, CNS: Employees mostly daily wagers working in different government departments have castigated former Rural and Development Minister Abdul Haq for appealing government to negotiate with protesting NHM employees.
Former R&D Minister Abdul Haq Khan while tweeting about the ongoing strike of NHM employees said: “Govt should negotiate with NHM Employees to resolve genuine demands as enough vacancies are available in the Health Department by which the can be reached in a phased manner.”
His tweet didn’t go well as casual employees reminded him of the days when he failed to resolve their issue despite being at the helm of affairs.
“The way your negotiated with Mgnrega staff, stop the dual policy and opportunism for God sake,” responded a youth to Haq’s tweet.
MGNREGA employees who are protesting on daily basis to get regularized attacked the former Minister most asking him to remember those days when he forced them to protest. “Today you are asking government to resolve the issues of NHM doctors but remember those days when you were the Minister and other were asking you resolve our issue,” wrote a youth.
Abdul Haq Khan was the Rural and Development Minister who had declared on record that he will regularize the services of MGNREGA employees, but he didn’t.
