Srinagar, Mar 14, CNS: A renowned trader Thursday accused police of harassment saying that over a dozen policemen barged into his house during night hours without any reason.
Nisar Ahmed Shahdar, Additional General Secretary Kashmir Traders Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) told news agency CNS that at around 11:30 of Wednesday evening over a dozen policemen barged their house after jumping from the wall.
“They entered the house but didn’t carried out any search. When I identified myself as a trader and asked them they should have entered the house through main gate, they didn’t reply and left the house,” Shahdar said adding that the police action scared his family members.
“I am a responsible citizen. How can policemen enter anybody’s house through a wall and scare the law abiding people,” he questioned and sought intervention of higher up saying the matter needs to be probed. (CNS)
