In the Saturdays press release, hurriyat said that the new administration have released only one political leader while as there are more than 500 Kashmiri pro-freedom people still in jails and most of them have no case or no charge sheet. They have been detained under the very cruel, unfair and black laws of the world and their continuous imprisonment is grave human rights violations as well as the grave violations of the international laws. Hurriyat further said that we are ideologically and consciously fighting peacefully and politically against the forced and illegal occupation of India over Kashmir and the complete freedom of Jammu & Kashmir is our only dream for which thousands of brave and bold people have offered their precious lives and this process is still continue and will remain so till the dawn of the freedom.
Hurriyat Conference expressed their deep concern over the reports that an activist of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Nazir Ahmad Mantoo who is in custody of the Shopian police station is being pressurized by the police to give in writing that he will completely break his affiliations with the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat and will not work for the party from now on.
Hurriyat said that this is the new policy of Mufti government which they are using against the pro-freedom people. hurriyat conference have taken strong notice of this and they are investigating this incident with the help of their legal cell and if this is found true then we will take legal actions against that police officer and will publish his name in the newspapers who forcibly want to detach the Nazir Ahmad Mantoo from the freedom movement of Kashmir. The said police officer is also harassing the wife of Nazir Ahmad Mantoo and she has also been told to give in the writing that her husband will not take part in the political activities after his release. Hurriyat said that this incident is being brought into the notice of all the human rights organizations and they are being appealed that they too should investigate this incident.
