Army pays tribute to slain soldier

Srinagar, May 28, CNS: Army Saturday paid tribute with full military honours to its slain soldier Havildar Hangpan Dada who was killed during an anti-militancy operation on Friday in Nowgam Sector of frontier district Kupwara.
Army organized a ceremony at at Badami Bagh Cantonment here. Laying wreath to salute the soldier’s final journey, Lt Gen Satish Dua, the Chinar Corps Commander said that such exemplary acts always serve as an inspiration to the serving generation. This ultimate sacrifice in line of duty will continue to motivate the Chinar Corps fraternally.
The mortal remains have been taken to his native village where the last rites will be conducted with full military honours. Late Hangpang Dada, hailed from Borduria, Arunanchal Pradesh and is survived by his wife, son and a daughter. (CNS)
