BGSBU’s Volleyball team proceeds for North Zone Cup

Rajouri,October 29 2014-CNS:-Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University has deputed its Men’s Volleyball team to participate in Prestigious North Zone Inter University Volley Cup which is going to commence in Kurukshetra University from November 1.

Registrar Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Mohammad Rashid Choudhary in presence of Dean Academic Affairs Prof AK Koul, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor Suneet Gupta and Deputy Director Physical Education & Sports Mohammad Din, flagged off 12 members team to Kurukshetra University for participating in this prestigious Volley Ball Tournament in which atleast 50 University of North India are participating.

team is headed by Aamir Ameen as Captian while Assistant Professor of University Dr Javaid Iqbal is Manager Coach of the team.

Speaking on the occasion, Registrar Mohammad Rashid Chowdhary said that Vice Chancellor  Prof Irshad Ahmed Hamal is serious in overall development of the scholars and on his advise, Directorate of Physical Education & Sports send this team to participate in such a prestigious tournament. He said that although team has been sent to win the tournament , it is equally important to create sportsman spirit and keep them physically and mentally fit to carry on the studies in better way. He said that co-curricular activities   are very important for over all development and University is striving hard to keep students involved in sports activities during the year.
