Had India sincere and loyal to the West Pakistani Refugees it would have settled them in any state: Nayeem Khan

KHAN (chairman)JKNFSrinagar,02 February 2015-CNS:-Had India sincere and loyal to the West Pakistani Refugees it would have settled them in any states other than the disputed J&K in last more than six decades. But New Delhi deliberately put these refugees lingering only to use them for its anti-Kashmir designs. This was stated by the Jammu Kashmir National Front Chairman, and Hurriyat (JK) leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan.“The West Pakistani Refugees should have been settled in the states other than J&K much earlier but India has deliberately kept the issue lingering only to haunt Kashmiris,” Nayeem Khan said. He, however, added that Kashmiris would never allow anyone to play with the demography of J&K unless and until the dispute is resolved in its historical perspective and according to the wishes of the people of Jammu Kashmir.Nayeem Khan said that refugees issue has nothing to do with religion but it is plainly a political issue. Terming Kashmiris the most humble souls on earth, Nayeem Khan said, “But, we cannot compromise with our political interests as well.”He added, “We do not need lessons on humanity from those pro-India people who use such terminology only to manage an enhancement in their remunerations.”Nayeem Khan said that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally proclaimed dispute who’s continuous disputed nature is not only hurting its inhabitants since 1947 but the refugees also who had taken shelter in Punjab first but later were shifted to Jammu.

Appealing India to shun its anti-Kashmir politics Nayeem Khan demanded that West Pakistani Refugees should be taken out of J&K and settled anywhere in the vast India so that these refugees can enjoy citizenship rights.

Nayeem Khan also said that settling WP Refugees in J&K is against the interests of the state as a whole so Jammuites and Valleyites should jointly fight to get these refugees out of the J&K.

“Those who desperately try to regionalise the issue are in fact working against the joint interests of Jammu and Kashmir,” Nayeem Khan said adding “The people of Jammu division should reject the elements that mingle religion and regional sentiments with the refugee issue.” He also appealed the people living in Ladakh region to raise their voice against settling the WP refugees in the state because it is against their political interests as well.

Meanwhile, according to National Front spokesman, Nayeem Khan today went to Abhi Guzar Srinagar, and condoled DPM chairman, Firdous Ahmad Shah on the sad demise of his mother. Terming the late lady as a great soul, Nayeem Khan said that she has faced hardships in the way of freedom.
