RSS plan is to stop us from praying: Aasiya Andrabi
Srinagar, June 27, CNS: Dukhtaran-e-Millat president Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi has hailed the people for observing a complete strike against the ‘desecration’ of Jamia Masjid. She has however said that, “the strikes only cannot stop the puppet govt from the new forms of oppression and emphasized on the leadership and masses to show a tough resistance towards the ill designs of the oppressors. I don’t think that these strikes only can help, both the leadership and the masses need to understand that RSS ideologues have decided not even to allow us pray and attend to other religious obligations,” she said.
While ridiculing the claims of police she said that false stories, like in case of a university student Muzamil Farooq who was arrested for opposing yoga and is being falsely involved in a militancy related case, are made to give an impression that some boys stoned the forces from inside the Masjid. She said the matter of fact is that police and other forces entered the Masjid without any provocation. Quoting a verse of Quran she said "Who else can be more cruel than one who stops people from praying in the Masajid’’.
Dukhtan-e-Millat president further said that tear smoke shells were fired inside the Masjid and suffocation caused to the fasting devotees, including women, present there besides many a worshipers were shamelessly beaten to pulp. She said that the forces shouldn’t have dared to enter the Masjid that too with weapons and the shoes put on. Syedah Andrabi however said that the Kashmir is an oppressed nation where the people are not free to even practice their religion. "Such helpless are we that we cannot practice our religion at our will, whenever the puppet rulers want to allow us to pray they do otherwise they lock the Masajid and prevent us from bowing our head before Allah”. "All this is about an RSS plan which is being implemented by the help of PDP, it seems, it has been decided that Kashmiris are denied the right to practice the religion “she said and added that the honor of Masajid and the veil of Muslim women has such an importance in Islam that the Jihad becomes obligatory if these areas are touched.
In reply to a question Aasiyeh Andrabi defended the stone throwing and said "we are being pushed to the wall; tell me what else we should do in response to the different forms of the oppression”.
Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi further said that India has virtually declared a war against us and said that a counter strategy needs to be adopted. She said it is good that the people observe strikes against the acts of oppression but more needs to be done to counter the aggression. "I appeal the leadership and masses to please wake up, because if we don’t rise as a nation against the oppression our future will be difficult”. explaining ,in reply to another question ,she said" what can we oppressed and suppressed people do but I think we should take to streets and show a strong resistance to all that is being done on the behest of RSS bosses of the so called state govt.”and when on ground we will be fighting against indian aggression and occupation then only Pakistan can plead our case in international forums including uno and can teach india lessen on our behalf as present ongoing movement is un finshed agenda of movement of Pakistan.
Meanwhile she has condemned the assault on the journalists in Nowhatta on Friday. While sympathizing with the injured photo journalist Bilal Bahadur she said that it is hard to believe that any civilian can harm any journalist. She said that it is most likely that government people in civvies have tried to stop the journalists to show the real face of India to the world through the pictures of barbarism they capture. (CNS)
