Srinagar, Apr 5, CNS: While reacting over the Srinagar Central Jail incident, conglomerate of local militant outfit United Jihad Council Friday appealed international human rights organizations including ‘Amnesty International’ and ‘Human Rights Watch’ to ensure safety and security of the Kashmiri prisoners in different Indian jails.
The conglomerate spokesperson Syed Sadaqat Hussain said that inmates including elders, women and children are living a wretched life whose health have deteriorated to a great extent.
The spokesperson in a statement to news agency CNS that Pakistan being a party to Kashmir issue should also highlight the plight of Kashmiri prisoners at international front.
The conglomerate alleged that inmates inside Srinagar Central Jail were tortured and harassed. “We condemn the use of force on the inmates in Srinagar Central Jail. The attack on inmates in Srinagar amply proves that Indian establishment cares a fig for the human rights violations,” the spokesperson said and castigated international human rights organization for maintaining criminal silence over these rights violations.
