Srinagar, Oct 10, CNS:  Congress leader and former advisor to ex-Chief Minister, Advocate Manzoor Ahmed Ganaie Saturday castigated a section of Jammu based Congress leaders for trying to communalize the situation in Jammu region.

Ganaie said that there seems to a race between political parties in Jammu to take credit for being more pro-Jammu and anti-Kashmir. He told CNS that the BJP which has played communal and regional card during and after the elections seems to inspire a section of Jammu based Congress leaders and the entire Panthers Party. “The leaders of Panthers party and a section of Jammu based Congress leaders are either wittingly or unwittingly playing the same politics as is being practiced by BJP in Jammu region. Resultantly the state of Jammu and Kashmir appears to be heading for a division on regional and communal lines.”

“Be it the matter of ban sale and consumption beef or so-called economic imbalances between Kashmir and Jammu, all the leaders across the board in Jammu are trying to exploit the scenario which will have serious consequences for the unity of State as it exists today,” he said. (CNS)
