Government miserably failed in rehabilitation of the flood hit people of the state:Gilani, supports shutdown call on 7 September

Srinagar,September 03,2015-CNS;- While deciding to fully support the shutdown call on 7 September and other programs given by the different trade organizations, All Parties Hurriyat Conference said that the government not only miserably failed in rehabilitation of the flood hit people of the state but they even does not repaired the damaged embankments of the water bodies and the common people have been left on the mercy of the situations. God-forbid the heavy rains anytime could prove worse than the past and it could lead to another disastrous flood in the valley. According to the Hurriyat conference, the government of India under a planned manner wants to break the backbone of the economics of the state and they want to make us dependent for everything so that they can continue their illegal and forced occupation in Jammu & Kashmir. In a Thursday’spress release, while terming the spending of millions of rupees over the musical and dance programs by the state government in the memory of last year’s floods as ridicules and irrational, Hurriyat conference said that the month of September 2014 is remembered as a bitter and harsh reality and it will remain fresh in the hearts and minds of Kashmiris for long time. There is no justification in celebrating this day. This is the day of seeking forgiveness and mercy of Almighty Allah from our sins. Hurriyat said that the people who lost their everything in September 2014 floods are living miserable lives. Organizing such functions by the government instead of rehabilitation is ridicules on the part of the state government and it is beyond the understandings of the common Kashmiris. While announcing to support the September 7 shutdown call, Hurriyat Conference appealed the people to organize special prayers on that day and seek forgiveness and mercy of Almighty Allah.

            Meanwhile, Syed Ali Geelani wrote a detailed letter to Pakistan Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif Sahab to appreciate their recently adopted stand regarding to the Kashmir issue on the occasion of Indo-Pak NSA level meeting on 23rd August which reads that the case of the Kashmiri nation is very strong and if Pakistan will show firmness over its recently adopted principled stand, India will definitely stand answerable before the international community and it will remain with no other option except to leave its traditional rigid and stubborn policies. Geelani Sahab has wrote in the letter that the recent stand of Pakistan and their support and advocacy to the subjugated Kashmiri people is very encouraging for us and it has added a new life to the freedom sentiments of the people of our nation. The entire world listened the echoes of the Kashmir dispute and they came to know the fact that Kashmir is not any border dispute between India and Pakistan but it is the issue of the future of more than 13 million alive people who are struggling for their basic and birth rights from last six decades and they are the prime and principal party to the Kashmir dispute. The Hurriyat Chairman in his letter have thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Pakistan army and the entire Pakistani nation for showing unity over the Kashmir issue which helped them in adopting the strong stand on the occasion of NSA level talks. While appealing Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif Sahab for maintaining consistency and firmness in their principled policies with regarding to the Kashmir, Geelani Sahab wrote that the Kashmir is very important region with regarding to its political, geographical and particular location and Indian forced occupation in this region can prove very detrimental for Pakistan itself. He had said that India is a growing imperialistic power and its expansionist designs are extremely dangerous. India not only wants to occupy and takeover Kashmir but this country is working on its long pending project to establish its supremacy and dominance over the entire South Asian region. Geelani Sahab further wrote in the letter that the freedom struggle of Kashmiri nation is actually linked to the defense of Pakistan and this struggle is as important for the people of Pakistan as it is for the Kashmiris. The pro-freedom leader of Kashmir said that the strong and stable Pakistan is the prerequisite for the resolution of the Kashmir issue according to the wishes and aspirations of its people and this factor cannot be neglected in any way. Geelani Sahab advised the Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif Sahab that the process of strong cordial and brotherly relations with the neighboring countries Afghanistan and Iran should be accelerated and these three countries should work together on a joint platform. He said that it is the only way to stop the supremacy designs of India and this will also help in finding durable and lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute. According to the Hurriyat statement, on the directions of Geelani Sahab, a top level Hurriyat delegation handed over this letter to the officials of the Pakistan high commission in New Delhi on 1st September who assured the delegation that the letter will be delivered to Prime Minister at the earliest.
