Srinagar, June 27, CNS: Scores of students from Police Public School located in Bemina Saturday staged a protest at Press Enclave here demanding the postponement of mid-term examination for class 12th students.
Both male and female students from the school shouted anti-management slogans and alleged the authorities have become a source of mental frustration for them who according to the protesting students force them to appear in mid-term examination from July 6 despite the fact that they have completed only 25 per cent syllabus.
“Our syllabus is incomplete. We are being directed to mid-term examination from July 6 to July 11 without any break. We are mentally disturbed and appeal Education Minister to save us from further torture,” said a protesting student to CNS.
When contacted Principal Police Public School Tazim Waheedi said that they always take students into confidence before taking any decision. “If these students have any grievances, we will certainly address them,” he said. (CNS)
